Embedded Test Engineer

VIOTAS Innovation has recently established an office in Krakow and we are recruiting a range of embedded hardware, software and test engineers. You will be joining a team of talented embedded engineers in VIOTAS and will collaborate extensively with the wider Innovation team in Ireland.

As an Embedded Test Engineer in the Innovation team, you will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and execution of the testing, debugging and certification processes for the embedded systems under development in the company.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating the Test Plans for the embedded projects under development. These plans will cover: 
  • Functional requirements
  • Environmental requirements
  • Compliance requirements (e.g. EMC)
  • Backend integration
  • Implementing the test environment created in Test Plans
  • Implementing the automated tests created in Test Plans
  • Performing tests (automated + manual)
  • Preparing Test Reports based on the performed tests
  • As part of this role, you will be expected to collaborate with other team members and certification authorities
  • You will be expected to extensively document your work in a manner that should be understandable to another individual of similar qualification



  • At least 3 years relevant experience in embedded development/testing
  • Extensive experience with a standard test environment (e.g. LabView, Python)
  • Experience developing in Linux and Windows test environments
  • Ability to plan and organize your work
  • Excellent analytical and report writing skills
  • Dependability and a structured working method
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science



  • C/C++ knowledge
  • Master’s degree in electronic or electrical engineering
  • Test/development experience with metering devices 
  • Experience with an electrical/electronic schematic design package 
  • Experience with a 3D CAD package
